Dr. Glenn Alex ('87)
Athens, GA., recently presented a seminar titles "Unlocking the Mysteries of Equilibration and Occlusal Diagnosis" at a three-day hands-on course attended by dentists nationwide.

Dr. Richard W. Waters ('86)
Athens, GA., just completed a nine-film training series for dental assistants for the Levin Group, Inc. of Baltimore. He and his wife, Marie, wrote and produced the films, to be released later this year. Dr. Waters left dentistry in 1993 due to carpal tunnel syndrome and has since published three books on dental communications. He is currently a film producer and lecturer.

Dr. Arthur H. Jeske (D.M.D., '78 and Ph.D., '75), a professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at the University of Texas Dental Branch, has been elected to the Council on Scientific Affairs of the American Dental Association and to the Dentistry Expert Committee of the United States Pharmacopeia.

Dr. Leroy R. Polite ('78)
Jacksonville, Fla., retired from dentistry after 20 years to establish a company, My Financial Future, Inc., to teach individuals how to study, monitor, and invest their money. His wife, Helen E. Poe Polite, is a registered nurse. They have three children. The oldest, Dr. Lorraine Polite-Clark, is married to Dr. Bennie Clark. They have two daughters, Sydney and Lyndsey. Their son, Harold, is in graduate school at the University of Northern Iowa. Daughter Loretta is a third-year dental student at Howard University.

Dr. John Vollenweider ('78)
LaGrange, Ga., has been elected president of the Georgia Board of Dentistry. His tenure began July 1. He and wife Claire have two children, Paul, 19, is a freshman at Georgia Southern University and Leigh Anne, 16, is a junior at LaGrange Senior High School. Dr. Vollenweider has practiced dentistry in LaGrange for 22 years.

Dr. James Perry Rollins (’75)
Kennesaw, Ga., died Jan. 2 at age 57. Survivors include son James Douglas Rollins, his mother, brother and grandson.

Dr. Stephan F. Holcomb ('74)
has been elected to serve a one-year term as president of the Southern Regional Testing Agency, Inc., which administers the clinical entry-level examinations for dentistry and dental hygiene for Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and South Carolina. He operates Dental Associates of Warner Robbins, a general group practice in Warner Robbins. He is a member and immediate past president of the Georgia Board of Dentistry and is a past recipient of the MCG School of Dentistry Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumnus Award.
