Important Dates
2008 - 2009
August 1, 2008: Housing Agreement for the 2008-09 Academic Year Begins
Students living in the residence halls are required to sign a housing agreement for the current academic year. The agreement begins on August 1, 2008 and expires on May 8, 2009. The document is a legally binding agreement.
August 21, 2008: Residence Life Orientation Program (6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.)
Residence Life will coordinate a orientation program for new and returning students. A free dinner will be provided for the first 75 students. Representatives from Residence Life, Public Safety and Environmental Health and Safety will present important information for students living in the residence halls. The program will be held on the second floor of the Student Center.
October 13-17, 2008: Safety Assessments
In order to maintain a safe and secure environment for all students, each apartment and room will be inspected by Environmental Health and Safety. Students will be notified of the inspection results.
November 3-21, 2008: Residence Life Food Drive
Residence Life in conjunction with the Golden Harvest Food Bank will be collecting food items for families to be distributed during the holidays. Food donation containers will be placed in the residence halls and Student Center.
January 26, 2009: Community Assistant Applications
Community Assistant applications for the 2009-2010 academic year will be made available to MCG students. The application deadline is February 13, 2009. Interviews will be conducted February 17-19, 2009.
March 2-6, 2009: Apartment/Room Selection
Students currently living on campus will have the opportunity to participate in the apartment/room selection process for summer semester 2009 and the 2009-2010 academic year. Specific information regarding this process will be released to students in January 2009.
May 8, 2009: Housing Agreements for the 2008-09 Academic Year Expire
The housing agreement for the 2008-2009 academic year expires. Students are required to check-out of their current housing assignment and return keys to the MCG Public Safety Key Control Office. |
