MCG Research Institute,
Inc.
The Medical College
of Georgia Research Institute, Inc. (MCGRI) was established in 1980 to
serve the Medical College of Georgia by enhancing its mission of
excellence in research, teaching, and service. Managed by an
Executive Committee
reporting to a 27-member Board of Directors,
MCGRI acts as the contracting agency for most sponsored activity engaged
in by MCG faculty and staff. MCGRI:
- Assists MCG in providing administrative and logistical support for
its research programs.
- Maintains a patent program to assist in the transfer of technology
developed at MCG for the benefit of the inventor, MCG, and the general
public.
- Provides funding for reinvestment in MCG through the
Research
Incentive Program and the Intramural Grants Program.
