ANSE Induction: Gayle Bentley, DNP, APRN, BC
Dr. Gayle Bentley, associate professor of Biobehavioral Nursing, has a distinguished career as a nurse educator and practitioner. She joined the MCG School of Nursing in 1993 and has held leadership roles of increasing importance, including coordinator of the RN-BSN program and most recently, director of the undergraduate (BSN) program.
ANSE Induction: Marguerite Murphy, DNP, RN
Dr. Marguerite Murphy, a veteran SON faculty member, is an associate professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing. She joined the MCG School of Nursing in 1996, becoming the RN-BSN coordinator in 2004. In June of this year, she assumed leadership of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.
"We want more growth, more quality and more reach with our educational programs and technology. We've made research gains, but we need to double our productivity. We've made faculty practice gains, but now it's time to try something new and different. We want to keep our faculty and staff on the leading edge. We want the diversity of our faculty and students to increase every year."
