Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - back to top-

Our BSN program focuses on the theory and practice of nursing at the upper division level. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the NCLEX licensure examination for Registered Nurses (RN).

Clinical Nurse Leader Program (CNL) - back to top-

The CNL program is an accelerated Masters’ degree for those who have degrees in areas other than nursing.  It was developed to address the need to improve the quality of patient care and better prepare nurses to thrive in outcomes-based practices.  CNLs provide efficient and cost-effective patient care services as well as the leadership needed to address fragmented care delivery.

RN-MSN (CNL) - back to top-

The RN-MSN (CNL) program is an accelerated master's degree that prepares nurses to be clinical leaders with the skills and competencies needed to thrive in the current and future health care system while striving to improve client outcomes and reduce health care costs. There are two RN-MSN(CNL) tracks:

  1) RN-MSN (for associate or diploma-prepared nurses)

  2) BSN-MSN (for baccalaureate-prepared nurses)

Family Nurse Practitioner Program (FNP) - back to top-

The FNP program prepares advanced practice nurses to provide primary health care to families from infancy to old age.  Upon graduation, students are eligible to take the certification exam offered by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Nursing Anesthesia Program (NAP) - back to top-

The Nursing Anesthesia Program focuses on creating leaders in the field of nursing anesthesia practice throughout the state and region.  Our program combines a strong academic preparation with extensive high fidelity simulation training and diverse clinical experiences throughout Georgia to prepare our graduates for a successful and rewarding career in anesthesia nursing.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program (PNP) - back to top-

The PNP program prepares advanced practice nurses to provide primary health care to infants, children, and young adults. Upon graduation, students are eligible to take the certification exam offered by the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners/Nurses or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (DNP) - back to top-

The state's first Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, this program educates advanced nurse clinicians for expert practice in leadership and clinical roles. The program is offered at a number of distance sites across the state of Georgia.

Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Program (PhD) - back to top-

The PhD Program prepares nurse scientists for research-intensive academic careers. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary knowledge development and dissemination through biobehavioral nursing research.  Our faculty are involved in ground-breaking research in such vital areas as health disparities, cancer prevention and control, cardiovascular risk reduction, and smoking cessation.
