    The Doctor of Nursing Practice

  

The first DNP graduates with SON Assistant Dean Dr. Sandy Turner

The state's first Doctor of Nursing Practice Program, this program educates advanced nurse clinicians for expert practice in leadership and clinical roles. This doctoral-level education provides nurses the clinical and management expertise to improve health care outcomes, making them expert collaborators in solving health care problems in systems.

The DNP Advantage

  • Attend full time or part time (and work while you attend school)
  • Interactive online and classroom experience utilizes WebVISTA
    and Internet Protocol connections
  • Online courses supplement classroom courses and classroom
    attendance varies by course.
  • Capstone/practice project completed in your area of expertise.
  • Approved by Georgia Board of Regents as an Internet program
    with greater than 50 percent of the program taught online.
  • We are where you are - we offer the DNP program in Augusta,
    Athens, Macon, Columbus, Savannah, Albany, Valdosta,
    Tennessee and Puerto Rico.
