General Surgery
Oncology Service

The Surgical Oncology Service provides comprehensive management for adult patients with
solid tumors. Special areas of interest include benign breast disease, breast cancer
(including ductal carcinoma-in-situ (DCIS), locally advanced, and inflamatory breast
cancer), melanoma, sentinel lymph node biopsy, endocrine surgery, soft tissue sarcomas,
hepatic surgery, radio frequency ablation, and colon and rectal cancer.
Multidisciplinary care in close cooperation with Medical Oncology and Radiation
Oncology is facilitated by the outpatient practice site in the Comprehensive Cancer
