Surgical Research Service Affiliations / Cooperative Relationships The Medical College of Georgia enjoys a cooperative relationship with Augusta's Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University Hospital in Augusta and Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon. Scientific collaborations also exist with the University of Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Emory University. MCG Hospital and Clinics is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions and the University Health Systems Consortium.
