D. Scott Lind MD is Professor and Chief of the Section of Surgical Oncology within the Department of Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Lind is a fellowship-trained oncologic surgeon with clinical and academic interests in melanoma, breast cancer and sarcoma. 

Dr. Lind also has a strong interest in medical education and a scientific approach to the study of educational problems. His educational research focus is the development and evaluation of new learning technologies, particularly simulation, in medical education. He is part of a collaborative effort involving the Medical College of Georgia and University of Florida to develop and evaluate virtual patients as educational tools for teaching and testing communication skills.
