Pathobiology of Atherosclerosis 


 
 

 

 

Location: Atherosclerosis Research Laboratory, Murphey Building

Enrollment:  1 Minimum, 1 Maximum

Prerequisites:  Phase II

Duration: 1-3 months

Months Offered: Throughout the year

This elective offers and introduction into the study of the pathobiology of atherosclerosis and the current state of knowledge on this important disease process. State-of-the-art technologies in tissue culture, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, and image analysis is used to examine mechanisms involved in the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis will be introduced, and hands-on experience will be emphasized.
