Patient Information

Welcome to the Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility & Genetics (REIG) and Reproductive Medicine Infertility Associates (RMIA) information page. On this page, you will find useful information on what to expect when you visit one of our offices.

Facts about infertility:

  • 10-15% of couples are affected by infertility
  • Contributing factors include being over 35 years old, irregular periods, prior pelvic infections, endometriosis, and sperm abnormalities.
  • More than half of couples treated for infertility become pregnant.
  • Infertility problems occur about equally among women and men.
  • Most patients with infertility can be treated without in vitro fertilization (IVF)

If you have been trying to become pregnant for one year or are age 35 and above, and have tried for six months; have been unable to conceive or have had early pregnancy losses, you are experiencing a reproductive problem.  MCG Reproductive Laboratories of Augusta in association with Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates are devoted to diagnosing and treating the cause of your problem with the least amount of intervention possible.  Our fertility specialists are board certified reproductive endocrinologists and can provide you with the latest treatment options, from the simplest to the most complex.
