Monthly Meetings
The support group was formed with a steering group, which included patient
advisors as well as support group staff. The first meeting open to the public
was held in February 2005.
Monthly meetings are beneficial to patients and their families who are coping
with brain tumors. The purpose of the support group is to meet others who are
experiencing similar challenges as well as to obtain and provide support and
further information about brain tumor symptoms and treatments.
Refreshments are provided at each meeting.

Participants
The support group is open to the entire community, including patients with brain
tumors or any neurological complications of cancer, their families and friends,
cancer patients with or without known brain metastases, and anyone who has
questions, concerns, or is just seeking information about brain tumors. |
