ANBL00B1 --  Phase III Randomized Study of Purged Versus Unpurged Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantation After Dose-Intensive Induction Chemotherapy in Patients With Newly Diagnosed High Risk Neuroblastoma or Ganglioneuroblastoma

The purpose of this research study is to compare the event-free survival in patients with newly diagnosed high risk neuroblastoma or ganglioneuroblastoma treated with myeloablative consolidation chemotherapy and autologous purged versus unpurged peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC).


Eligibility

Patients may be eligible for this trial if:

  • The patient is newly diagnosed with suspected neuroblastoma, suspected ganglioneuroblastoma, or suspected ganglioneuroma (maturing subtype)
  • Patients with relapsed neuroblastoma who were not enrolled at diagnosis are NOT eligible.
  • A good faith effort (documented by specimen tracking) must be made to submit a neuroblastoma sample of sufficient quality for MYCN analysis in the Neuroblastoma Resource Laboratory in order for any newly diagnosed patient to be enrolled
