ACNS0221-- A Phase II Study of Conformal Radiotherapy in Patients with Low-Grade Gliomas

The purpose of this research study is to study how well radiation therapy works in treating young patients with gliomas. The rationale is that specialized radiation therapy that delivers radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue.


Eligibility

Patients may be eligible for this trial if:

  • The patient is between 3 and 21 years old
  • There is histologic verification of the malignancy at original diagnosis
  • There is measurable disease, by radiographic criteria
  • Life expectancy of ≥ 1 year
