Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT)
Staff
James R. Gossage, MD
Dr. Gossage is director of
the Pulmonary Hypertension program. He received his MD degree in 1984 and
did a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt
University from 1988-1991. He has treated patients with PH for over 16
years and has been involved in PH research for 15 years. He is skilled in
right heart catheterization
and has performed over 1000 in the past 20 years.

S. Sridhar, MD,MBBS,
FRCP, FRSS(Lond), FRCPC(Med & Gastro),FACP,
FACG, FASLM&S
Dr. Sridhar is an associate
professor in the section of gastroenterology since 1999. He receiced his
MBBS degree from the University of
Mysore
in India. He did his residency training at teaching hospitals in London,
Cambridge, and Bedford, England and did his fellowship in gastroenterology
including interventional endoscopy from Glasgow, Scotland. He obtained
additional residency training in medicine from Dalhousie University,
Halifax, Canada and additional fellowship in gastroenterology including
special training in gastrointestinal lasers and pancreatobiliary endoscopy
and research from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He has a
clinical and research interest in obscure gastrointestinal bleeding.
Genetics
Carolyn Lovell
Carolyn Lovell is a certified genetic
counselor who has been working with the HHT team since March 2005. She
attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 1989, she earned
a Master of the Arts in Teaching degree from the University of South
Carolina and taught high school biology for 6 years. She returned to school
and earned a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling in 1997. She has
experience working with prenatal, pediatric, and adults genetics teams.

Interventional Radiology
David Riggans, MD
Dr. Riggans is an Interventional
Radiologist. He received his MD degree in 1995 from the Medical College of
Georgia and completed his Radiology Residency at the University of Kansas in
2001. Dr. Riggans attended MD Anderson Cancer Center where he completed his
Fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 2002. He has
been performing embolization procedures for five years and treating patients
with HHT for over two years.
Neurology
J. Ned Pruitt, MD
Dr.
Pruitt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology . He has
special interest in Headache and Stroke. He received his MD from the
Medical College of Georgia in 1989. He completed his Neurology residency in
1993 and had further fellowship in Neuromuscular disease at the Mayo Clinic
from 1993-1995. He is director on the Neurology Outpatient Clinical
services.
Neurosurgery
Cargill H. Alleyne, Jr. MD
Dr. Alleyne is Academic Vice-Chair, Residency
Program Director and Chief of the Cerebrovascular Division in the Department
of Neurosurgery. He received his M.D. degree from Yale School of Medicine,
completed his residency at Emory University affiliated hospitals
and a fellowship in vascular and skull base tumors at the Barrow
Neurological Institute. He practiced at University of Rochester, NY for 4 ½
years before being recruited to MCG. Dr. Alleyne is also trained in
endovascular techniques and performs diagnostic angiograms and
interventional neuroradiology procedures with his colleague Dr. Jeff Stone.
