Transplant Preceptorship
To
assist in improving community nephrologists’ transplant skills, the Section
of Nephrology was awarded funding to host a transplant preceptorship. This
two-day course allows nephrologists to be updated on immunosuppressive
protocols, pre-transplant evaluations and medical complications in the
post-transplant period. This updates the community nephrologists in the
current practices of our transplant center and benefits the patients by
decreasing the need for patient travel back to the transplant center.
