Dialysis Expansion Program The Nephrology Section recruited Dr. William Paulson, from Louisiana State University, to be the Director of the End-Stage Renal Disease program. Dr. Paulson has a long history of clinical research related to dialysis and vascular access. Dr. Paulson will serve as the Director of Outpatient Dialysis Services to oversee the growth and development of our expanding kidney failure population. To this end, we have partnered with National Renal Alliance, which built our first satellite dialysis clinic in south Augusta. This state-of-the-art 20-station facility opened in January 2006. We will open a second clinic, also in partnership with National Renal Alliance, in September 2006 in North Augusta, S.C.
Dr. Steve Schwab, Kurt Steinhart, Willie Mays, Dr. William Paulson, Dr. Laura Mulloy and Joe Cashia of National Renal Alliance. |
