Ablation catheter approaching a pulmonary vein

Electrophysiology Research at MCG

Cardiac electrophysiology research is an important part of our Electrophysiology Section.  Ongoing IRB-approved clinical trials include:

VT-CFE

  • This study is investigating the role of complex fractionated electrogram mapping in the setting of ischemic ventricular tachycardia ablation to potentially develop new mapping techniques for these types of ablations.

BiV-NavX

  • This study focuses on 3-D electroanatomic mapping techniques during Biventricular ICD implant within the coronary sinus in an effort to better understand voltage and activation sequence properties of left ventricular epicardium.

LAND-IT

  • This study focuses on registering patients in a “registry” analyzing coronary sinus lead location during Biventricular ICD implant.
