Minimally-Invasive Life-Saving Care

Cardiac Catheterization is leading edge technology, offering life-saving diagnosis and treatment without major surgery. Many conditions that once required an open procedure can now be treated by inserting small catheters into a blood vessel. This minimizes patient discomfort, decreases time spent in the hospital, and does not require the use of anesthesia.

Treatments offered at MCG

Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)- enabling a very detailed image of the vasculature during the procedure without increasing raditation exposure

Rotoblation

AngioJet®

Balloon angioplasty

Stent placement

Beyond basic catheterization services, we understand that some patients have complex conditions that require extraordinary care. We welcome the difficult cases that other centers may not be prepared to manage, including some patients regarded as too unstable for bypass surgery.

Our expert physicians are not limited to managing coronary artery disease. Just as the arteries of the heart are affected by atherosclerosis, vessels throughout the body are vulnerable as well. We offer similar treatments for what is known as peripheral vascular disease. To find out more about these non-coronary services visit Peripheral Vascular Disease Services.
