Student Affairs Committee

Composition
a. This special committee shall consist of one senator appointed by the Dean, who shall serve as chairman, and four other teaching faculty members, each selected by the students of one of the four medical school classes.

b. The Associate Dean for Students and the presidents of the four medical student classes shall serve as ex-officio members of the committee.

c. Appointed and elected members shall serve for a term of one year.

Function
a. This committee considers matters of concern to the students and makes appropriate recommendations regarding them. These matters include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: the adequacy and effectiveness of various services to the students; policies regarding student conduct and discipline, and facilitation of responsible and representative student government.
