AUGUSTA, Ga. – Dr. William A. Guest, chief medical officer of the Intensive Care Unit at Tift Regional Medical Center, has been named assistant dean of curriculum of the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine's Southwest Georgia Clinical Campus.

Shelle Schwamberger skipped down the stairs wearing an Irish clover necklace and green T-shirt in honor of the St. Patrick's Day-themed Match Day 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia, Amy and Antonio meeting her at the bottom. The University System of Georgia Board of Regents voted this week to authorize purchase of Gilbert Manor to enable expansion of the Medical College of Georgia.The public housing complex of the Augusta Housing Authority sits on a 15-acre, triangular plot contiguous to MCG and bordered by R.A. Dent Boulevard, Goss Lane and Spellman St. The property will be the future site for a new School of Dentistry facility.
