Vijay Patel, M.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Patel is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon who came to MCG from the Texas Heart Institute in Houston.  Dr. Patel has special interest in all types of heart/lung transplantation and mechanical heart-assist devices.

Albert Chang, M.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Chang joined MCG in 2006, after completing his cardiothoracic surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic.  Dr. Chang is interested in all aspects of general thoracic surgery, including benign and malignant diseases of the esophagus, swallowing disorders, gastrointestinal reflux disease, lung cancer diagnosis and treatment using minimally invasive techniques (VATS), mediastinal masses, chest wall tumors, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and the multidisciplinary management of thoracic tumors.  He is the director of the Multidisciplinary Thoracic Tumor Board where all lung and esophageal cancer cases are discussed.
