The Uptown Division is located on Wrightsboro Road at Schley Street. There are two main entrances to the VA. Facing the front of the building, go to the door on the far right which is the entrance to the Mental Health Services Section.
Go through the double glass door into the waiting room. Proceed down the hall to the right. Ms. Tharrington’s office is Room 1F177.

Directions: East Central Regional Hospital is located on Mike Padgett Hwy (Hwy 56). Coming from Bobby
Jones Expressway, take Exit #9. Go right onto Mike Padgett Hwy, then right
again at the first traffic light into the ECR Complex. Stop at the
security checkpoint and the officer will direct you further. |

Northwest Georgia Regional

The first day of the rotation is considered a “travel” day for off-campus students. Report to Elizabeth Brown (706-235-0776 Ext. 208) at the Blue Ridge AHEC office in Rome no later than 3:00 p.m. to fill out the housing agreement and drug-free housing forms and receive keys for housing.
The second day of the rotation, report to Teresa Edenfield in the Clinical Director’s office at Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital (Bldg. 103) at 8:00 a.m. to receive an ID badge, have a brief orientation, and then report to the assigned patient care unit.

The first day of the rotation is considered a “travel” day for off-campus students. Students should plan to arrive in Thomasville by 4:00 p.m. and proceed to the John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital information desk (915 Gordon Avenue, 229-228-2000) to pick up keys for housing.
The second day of the rotation, report to Alma Jones (229-227-2990) at 8:30 a.m. at Southwestern State Hospital. Students will receive an ID badge, have a brief orientation, and then report to the assigned patient care unit.

The second day of the rotation, report to Nancy Brooks at Laurelwood Hospital at 8:30 a.m. to receive instructions regarding your assignment to the patient care unit. |

On the first day of the rotation, students assigned to Central State
Hospital in Milledgeville should report to Vivian Pierce
(478-445-4515) in the Powell Building at 8:00 a.m. Keys for housing will be issued and a brief orientation will be conducted by Ms. Kathy Ivey.
On the second day of the rotation, report to Kathy Ivey at 8:00 a.m. on the 2nd floor of the Powell Building for hospital orientation. Students will then be directed to the assigned patient care unit. Students are required to use their MCG ID badge at Central State Hospital. |
