Remediation

Students who fail to receive a grade of 58 or better on the shelf board
examination given at the end of the rotation will be subject to the
following remediation procedures:

  • The student will be required to take a month off of rotations to
study for the board shelf examination and retake the exam again at the end of that rotation.

  • The student will receive a grade of a D until the test is retaken. When the test is retaken the new test score will be used along with your clinic grade to calculate a grade for the rotation.  The student's transcripts will include a D/* stating that the test was retaken and the student's new is reflected. Scheduling of remediation should be handled with Dr. Albritton's office.
