Community Based Student Support Through the
Georgia Statewide AHEC Network
Welcome to your Community Based Education rotation. The
Medical College of Georgia partners
with the Georgia Statewide AHEC Network for
development, coordination and maintenance of many
off campus community based education sites. All of us in
the AHEC Network are pleased that you
will be visiting our areas as part of your
medical education. We hope to welcome you to future
employment in our medically underserved areas.
Please visit the AHEC website for more
information on our history, current programs and future goals.
This Community Based Education website will provide you with
important information regarding preceptors, housing, community resources and
specific procedures. Please follow the directions closely.
Your assigned site can be found by clicking on the
"Welcome Letter" link or clicking on the
AHEC logo where you will be directed to necessary information.
If you need any further assistance, please contact Erin Mundy,
Medical Clerkship Coordinator. She
will
be happy to connect you with the Preceptor Coordinator for the AHEC region
you will be visiting.
