Dear Student,
Welcome to the Southeastern Primary Care Consortium/Atlanta Area Health Education Center (SPCC Atlanta AHEC). The AHEC is here to help you have a successful and fulfilling rotation. If you need any assistance or support during your clinical rotation experience please do not hesitate to contact us.
Directions to Atlanta Medical Center from Augusta:
From Augusta, take Interstate 20 West to Atlanta. Take I-75/
I-85 North to Exit 248-C Internaltional Blvd./Freedom Parkway. Once on the exit, stay in the left lane but turn right on Freedom Parkway. Merge all the way to the left. At the first traffic light, turn left on Boulevard. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Highland and go one block. Turn right onto Parkway and go one block. The hospital's main entrance will be on the right. park in the deck connected to the hospital.
Rotation Information: Please call Ms. King at least one week prior to your
rotation. She will give you specific directions and information regarding
orientation to this busy facility. You are expected at her office on the
first Tuesday of rotation at 8:00 AM for a hospital orientation. Please be on time. You
will sign a confidentiality form and your
immunization records will be reviewed. A $5 fee will be charged for the
mandatory Surgery Handbook, but this will be refunded should you choose not
to keep it after the rotation. The Chief Resident will assign you to a team
and a preceptor. Please make sure you bring all items requested by Ms. King and track your evaluation process as she instructs.
Please wear your student badge and lab coat at all times
in the hospital and clinics.

Health Education Center (SPCC Atlanta AHEC) offers assistance in several
