What to do before your scheduled rotation: Students are expected to arrive to the site on the second day of your rotation. The first day is reserved for orientation as well as driving time to Jasper from Augusta. You are to complete an orientation and obtain your hospital badge at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital on the first day of your rotation. Contact the Staff Development Education Coordinator at 706-301-5294 to schedule the orientation.
Rotation/Site Contact: Michelle Evans, Preceptor Coordinator Rotation Information: Dr. K. Raza Mahmood is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He completed his Pediatrics Residency training at Columbia University in New York and has five years of primary care experience. He specializes in the management of allergy and asthma, adolescent medicine and cardiac diseases. He believes that children are not simply small adults and must be approached with an appreciation for their stage of physical and mental development. Dr. Mahmood moved to Jasper from Warner Robins with his wife and two children. His hobbies are photography, playing with his children and traveling to the mountains. Housing Information: At this time there is no housing available for this rotation. Students interested in rotating at Mountainside Pediatrics must be able to provide their own housing in Jasper. Check Out: Please check out with
the Blue Ridge AHEC staff on the last day of your rotation. You are to return
your keys and badge. Your grades will be held until keys are returned. Please call to make arrangements. |
