Check In: Please arrive at the Blue Ridge AHEC office no later than 4:30 PM on the first day of your rotation. (NOTE: Please contact the Blue Ridge AHEC office if you do not plan to arrive by 4:30 PM, so that arrangements can be made for you to pick up your housing key and forms.) You are expected at your preceptor’s office by 9:00 AM the next day.
Rotation Information: You are required to get a
hospital badge prior to seeing patients in the hospital. Please check in with
Dr. Joyave's staff for specifics and bring
your immunization records. Dr. Joyave
is the lead faculty and is the person who will be assigning your grade. You may work with Dr. Cawley and Dr. Smith as well, depending on the schedule during your
rotation. There is a Physician's Assistant and a Nurse
Practitioners at this practice, from whom you will have the opportunity to learn. Please be on time and keep Dr. Joyave posted on your learning needs. He will do his best to see that you get the experiences you desire.

Check Out: Please check out with the Blue Ridge AHEC staff on the last day of your rotation. You are to return your keys, badge and any borrowed items. Your grades will be held until all items are returned.
