What to do before your scheduled rotation: Students should contact Bruce Davis, Office Manager prior to arrival at your rotation site. This will allow you to make arrangements for arrival and check in to the site. Students are expected to arrive at the preceptor's office on the second day or your rotation. The first day is reserved for orientation and driving to Douglasville from Augusta. Please take the time to print and complete all of the necessary documentation no later than one week prior to your rotation. Failure to complete your paperwork in time could delay the start of your rotation. All forms must be faxed or emailed to Michelle Evans at the Blue Ridge AHEC at 706-378-3113. Orientation Confirmation Sheet Wellstar Orientation Handbook (complete exam beginning on page 48) Students will be spending time at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. Jan Hopkins in Medical Staff Services will assist you with your ID badge for the hospital and clinic. Ms. Hopkins' contact phone is 770-732-5576. Site/Rotation Contacts: Bruce Davis, Office Manager North Douglas OBGYN Phone 770.949.4188 Rotation Information: This practice is a busy, three physician practice with many excellent opportunities for learning. Dr. Galloway has practiced medicine from more than 35 years and is the Chief of Obstetrical Services as well as the Chief of Surgery at WellStar Douglas Hospital. He has delivered two generations of babies in Douglas County. Dr. Tuwanna Morris joined the practice in October of 2007, following her Residency at Morehouse School of Medicine and several years of successful private practice in the local area. Dr. Kenyetta Brummitt joined the practice in March of 2008. Dr. Brummitt is a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician who received her education here in Atlanta at Georgia State University and Morehouse School of Medicine, and returned here after completing her Residency at Temple University in Pennsylvania. We are extremely pleased to have two such talented female physicians on our staff. Housing Information: At this time there is no housing available for this rotation. Students interested in completing their OBGYN rotation at North Douglas OBGYN must be able to provide their own housing. Check Out: Please return your ID
