What to do before your scheduled rotation: It is recommended that students contact your preceptor site prior to arriving for your rotation. This will allow you to make arrangements for arrival to the site. Please arrive at Highland Rivers Center in Dalton on the second day of your rotation. The first day is reserved for orientation, drive time from Augusta to Dalton and housing check in.

Rotation Information: In partnership with consumers and their families, Highland Rivers Center works to serve those individuals experiencing disabling effects of mental illness, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases, promoting productive lives and full participation within the community through rehabilitative treatment and support services. The Highland Rivers Center serves Bartow, Cherokee, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk and Whitfield counties. Students at scheduled at this site will be working with patients from Whitfield and Murray counties.
Housing Information: Students in need of housing for their rotation in Dalton are provided housing by the Blue Ridge AHEC.

badge and any other borrowed items before leaving your rotation. Grades will be held until all borrowed items are returned.
