Letter to students 
Welcome to the Three Rivers
AHEC region of west central Georgia. We are pleased to have been instrumental
in establishing this training site for the Medical College of Georgia and look
forward to your arrival for clinical training in LaGrange. We will strive to
make your clinical experience and visit to the LaGrange area as fulfilling as
possible.

LaGrange Housing Information
Housing will be
arranged by the Three Rivers AHEC. This will be in a college dorm or
private home. Contact the Three Rivers AHEC for housing needs and details.
Rotation Information: Students
completing a rotation in LaGrange with Dr. Miller and Dr. Bowie will be spending
a significant amount of time at West Georgia
Medical Center. Students are required to complete and fax an
application as well as other documentation prior to the start of their rotation.
Failure to provide this documentation in a reasonable amount of time before the
rotation start date could result in a delayed start of your rotation.

Items needed for application
Directions: Take Interstate 20 West
towards Atlanta. Take Interstate 285 West to Macon/Birmingham to I-85
South. Take I-85 South to Exit #18. Turn Right off of the exit
and on Highway 109 West/LaFayette Parkway. LaFayette Parkway becomes
Vernon Street. Go approximately 5.2 miles, through 12 traffic lights.
You will pass LaGrange Mall through downtown and past LaGrange College.
Just past the entrance to West Georgia Medical Center and turn left onto
Medical Center Drive. Follow Medical Center Drive to the dead end and
turn right onto Vernon Road. Go 0.1 mile and turn right into the
shopping center. Dr. Miller and Dr. Bowie's office is located at the
far left end of the shopping center.
