Dear Student,
Welcome to the Southeastern Primary Care Consortium/Atlanta Area Health Education Center (SPCC Atlanta AHEC).  The AHEC is here to help you have a successful and fulfilling rotation.  If you need any assistance or support during your clinical rotation experience please do not hesitate to contact us.

Directions to Atlanta Medical Center from Augusta:
From Augusta, take Interstate 20 west to Atlanta.  Take I-75/I-85 north to Exit 248-C International Blvd./Freedom Parkway.  Once on the exit, stay in the left lane but turn right onto Freedom Parkway.  Merge all the way to the left and at the first traffic light, turn left onto Boulevard.  At the first traffic light, turn left onto Highland and go one block.  Turn right onto Parkway Drive and go one block.  The hospital's main entrance will be on your right.  Park in the deck connected to the hospital.  Go in the lobby and take the elevators to the 4th floor.  Turn right off of the elevators and up the hall to the Graduate Medical Education Office.  Ask for Sheila Lawshea.

Check In:  Please call Ms. Lawshea (above) at least one week prior to your rotation. She will give you specific directions and information regarding your orientation.  You are expected to report for your rotation on Monday at 9:00 AM unless there is a school orientation. If that is the case, please call to let her know of your arrival time later on Monday.  Please be on time. You will sign a confidentiality form and your immunization records will be reviewed.  Please wear your student badge and lab coat at all times in the hospital and clinics.

You will be assigned one of two preceptors for your outpatient experience. Ms. Lawshea will give you current information about these preceptors. The two preceptors are listed below:
