Albany Housing Information

Check In: Once you have arrived at Phoebe Putney go to the information desk and ask for Security.  When a Security Officer arrives, ask him for the package in the safe with your name on it.  It will include directions to the house, a key to the front door and a key to your bedroom door, along with security and other information.  If you have any questions, please contact Ginette Mills at (229) 439-7185.

On the first day of your rotation in Albany you are to report to the SOWEGA AHEC Office located at 1512 West Third Avenue in Albany. You will be completing paperwork for hospital credentialing.

Each student is required to get a badge from Phoebe Security, located at 417 Third Avenue on the first day of clinical. Also, each student is required to attend a JCAHO Orientation. This training is mandatory, and the date and time will be provided in your housing packet.

What to Bring:  You will need to bring linens (towels and sheets for a single bed) and toiletries.  Furniture, dishes, pots, and pans are provided.

Directions to the SOWEGA AHEC from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital:  The SOWEGA AHEC is located minutes from the hospital campus.  Take 3rd Avenue from the hospital for approximately 3 miles.  The SOWEGA AHEC office is located on the left side of the street at 1512 West Third Avenue.

Check Out:  At the end of your rotation, you are to return your keys and badge to the SOWEGA-AHEC Office. Please call if that is a problem. Grades will be held until all items are returned.

Have a great rotation!  If you have any questions regarding your rotation or housing, please do not hesitate to contact:
