Albany Housing Provided by:
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital
Albany, GA

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital provides students with housing while on rotation in the Albany area.  Upon arrival in Albany, you will need to proceed to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, which is located at 417 Third Avenue.  For students traveling from I-75, take the Albany exit, Highway 300.  Take Highway 300 into Albany, at Clark Avenue, make a right turn.  At Hwy 520, 82 Bypass go north to the South Jefferson exit and follow the blue hospital signs.


Check-In:  Once you have arrived at Phoebe Putney go to the information desk and ask for Security. When a security officer arrives, ask him/her for the housing package in the the safe with your name on it. In the package, will be a map to the house, a key to the front door and a key to your bedroom door, along with security information.

Students will be placed in one of the following houses depending upon availability:

1. The Crimmins Student House is a nine-bedroom house located at 418 First Avenue, with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, wireless internet and living space.  The telephone number is 229-889-7458.  A computer is provided in the living space.  Each room contains a single bed.  Some rooms share a bathroom; three rooms have their own bathroom.  Linens and blankets are furnished. You will need to bring the following items:  towels plus other items that will make your stay comfortable. 

2. The Madison House is located at 904 North Madison Avenue.  The house has six bedrooms (single beds) and two bathrooms.  Linens and blankets are furnished. You will need to bring the following items:  towels plus other items that will make your stay comfortable.  There is a full kitchen with a washer/dryer as well as wireless internet.

3. The Palmyra House is located at 1115 Palmyra Road has three bedrooms (1-single and 2 double) and one bath.  Linens and blankets are furnished. You will need to bring the following items:  towels plus other items that will make your stay comfortable.

4. The Madison Apartment is located at 1001 North Madison Avenue, Apt. #14.  It is an upstairs apartment with two bedrooms (single beds) and one bathroom.  Linens and blankets are furnished and hi speed internet is available (not wireless). You will need to bring the following items:  towels plus other items that will make your stay comfortable.  There is a full kitchen with a stove and refrigerator.  There is a washer and dryer available in a building behind the apartment building.
