NOTE: Students in need of housing for their rotation in Dublin will need to contact Bela Kundu at the Magnolia Coastlands AHEC at least two weeks prior to the start of your rotation to make arrangements for check-in.

Check In: Students must contact Barbara Jenkins at the Dublin VAMC to arrange a time to check in. Upon arrival to the housing students will check in with either the housing director Buddy Adams or the housing representative on site Mitzy.
Housing Information: Housing is provided to students by the Dublin VA at the Guest House located on the campus of the VA Medical Center. The Guest House is a privately owned and operated facility that has worked out an arrangement with the VA to house students completing rotations at the VA.
The Guest House is on the campus of the VA to provide housing to families and patients of the VA that are driving a distance longer than 30 miles to recieve VA services. The Guest House was originally an officers quarters during the second World War. The Guest House has several bedrooms, bathrooms, tv room
(televisions are located in handicapped rooms for persons not able to go into the tv room), laundry room, and a complete kitchen. There are two student rooms with two single beds in the rooms. Bed linens are provided if students do not desire to bring their own single bed linens. Students are not guaranteed a private room while they are housed at the Guest House. Bathrooms are shared among all guests.
Directions: From Augusta take US 1 south to Wrens and continue into Louisville. You will turn right onto Highway 24. About six miles out of town turn left onto 221 to Bartow. In Bartow, turn right on Hwy 319 and follow for 18 miles into Dublin. In Dublin, turn right on Hwy 441. Follow around the square and begin following the hospital signs. This road becomes Veterans Parkway. The hospital is on the left. Drive into the main entrance. The Guest House is located on the backside of the hospital Building 25. There is parking located in front of the Guest House. Students are asked to park at the far end of the parking for the Guest House and leave the immediate front spaces open for any persons needing handicapped parking.
