Welcome to the Three Rivers AHEC region of west central Georgia. We are pleased to have been instrumental in establishing these training sites for the Medical College of Georgia and look forward to your arrival for clinical training. We will strive to make your clinical experience and visit to Fort Benning as fulfilling as possible.

Rotation Information:  Below you will find important information necessary for your rotation at Ft. Benning. All information must be completed and returned to Hannah Lydiate no later than one week prior to your rotation at Ft. Benning. 

1.  Martin Army Community Hospital Orientation Booklet (Read)

2.  Martin Army Community Hospital Orientation Exam (Complete and Return)

3.  Student Information Form (Complete and Return)

4.  Student Immunization Form (Complete and Return)

5.  HIPAA Privacy and Security 101 (Read)

6.  Introduction to HIPAA Privacy and Security (Read)

7.  HIPAA Examination (Complete and Return)

8.  Students must have a current copy of BCLS card, liability insurance and favorable criminal background check.

Martin Army Hospital, Ft. Benning, GA

Directions to Martin Army Community Hospital from Augusta:  Take Washington Road to I-20 West to Atlanta.  Take I-285 West to Macon/Birmingham to I-85 South.  Take I-85 South for approximately 55 miles to I-185 South.  Take I-185 South for approximately 55 miles through Columbus.  I-185 ends at US 280/GA 529/Victory Drive.  Continue to the Visitors Center and register your vehicle.  Request for a map of Ft. Benning and directions to MACH. 

Directions to Martin Army Community Hospital from in town/Columbus:  Go  South on 10th Avenue or 4th Avenue/Veteran's Parkway to Victory Drive.  Turn left onto Victory Drive/US 280/GA 520 and go approximately 5 miles to I-185.  Take exit to the right at I185 to enter Ft. Benning.  Continue to the Visitors Center and register your vehicle.  Request for a map of Ft. Benning and directions to MACH. 

Columbus Housing Information

Check In:  Your check-in will be with Tracy Dinh, Nurse Educator at Martin Army Community Hospital.  Ms. Dinh's office is located in Medical Education which is located in the yellow building just to the left of the clinic entrance at Martin Army Community Hospital.  Ms. Dinh's office is located on stairwell B. 

During your first week of your rotation please contact Hannah Lydiate, Preceptor Coordinator at the Three Rivers AHEC. 

Check Out:  At the end of your rotation please be certain and return all keys and any other borrowed items to the necessary individuals.  Grades will be held until all such are returned.
