Research Interests:
Since the focus of my work at the Medical College of Georgia is basic science education, my research interests are related medical education. Currently, I am focusing on several different projects. Can performance in a freshman gross anatomy course predict future academic and professional success or difficulty? Can junior and senior medical students effectively assist with teaching gross anatomy to freshman medical students, and are there benefits for both groups of students? Teaching medical students the fundamentals of good teaching practices. Using active learning strategies to teach gross anatomy to large classes. My
teaching responsibilities include medical gross anatomy, systemic
gross anatomy, gross anatomy step I board review, and essentials of
education
