Research Description:

This work characterized the effects of potassium tetranitrodiamine cobaltate III on the activity of various enzymes like acid and alkaline phosphatases and other important enzymes required for liver function. Also, the changes in the lipid content and the protein profile were determined in the liver following administration of potassium tetranitrodiamine cobaltate III.    My lab aims to elucidate the mechanism of cell death induced by antiestrogen therapy in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells.  A significant focus in the laboratory is to determine the role of autophagy in facilitating survival of breast cancer cells treated with endocrine therapy.
