Paragraph Describing Interests:

Given my background as a biotechnology engineer successfully applying and constantly broadening my knowledge and professional skills at the interface between research and development for more than 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry, I am now interested in investigating basic molecular mechanisms that underlie the complex tissue regeneration processes in the human body. Thereby, the understanding of scientific fundamentals and the utilization of stem cells are the most challenging aspects of my future research due to the manifold characteristics of these unique cells. This motivation is further intensified by the known lack of powerful and approved regenerative treatment approaches for widespread clinical maladies thus making aware of the tremendous necessity of translational science in the field of tissue regeneration.
