The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine embraces the concept that postgraduate medical education is an integral component in the continuum of medical education. It is the objective of this program "to provide education, training, and experience in an atmosphere of mutual respect between instructor and resident so that the resident will be stimulated and prepared to apply his acquired knowledge and talents independently . . ." in the practice of anesthesiology.
