On-Campus Housing

Students accepted for admission receive housing information and applications. All MCG residence halls are within easy walking distance of other campus facilities. For more information, contact: Housing Office, Student Center, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta GA 30912-7304, 706-721-3471.

Off-Campus Housing

Accepted students interested in off-campus housing may contact the Off-Campus Housing Office, Student Center, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta GA 30912 for assistance.

The office will send information on rental property in the Augusta area. Visitors to the office can use an information file listing rooms, apartments, houses and other property for rent or sale.

All landlords listing property consider applicants without regard to race, color, creed, gender or disability. Any off-campus rental agreement must be negotiated by the student.

The university assumes no obligation for collecting rentals, housekeeping of student tenants or destruction of property involved in off-campus housing of students.

Food Service Information

The Terrace Dining Room on the second floor of the MCG Medical Center is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and provides a variety of food service areas, including a self-service salad and fruit bar, fresh readymade salads, fruits, desserts and full breakfast, lunch and dinner service with a choice of three entrees per meal. Hot sandwiches, charbroiled burgers, fries, a deli and a specialty bar featuring baked potatoes and ethnic foods are also offered.

McDonald’s operates a full-service restaurant in the Children’s Medical Center and is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Fat Man’s Too @ MCG in the MCG Student Center provides great variety and friendly service for breakfast and lunch (7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays). The staff starts brewing coffee early and offer bagels, danish, muffins and breakfast sandwiches each morning. The lunch menu includes: sandwiches, soups, salads and great homemade vegetables and entrees (check www.fatmanstoo.com for daily specials).

Also available are Snack Huts (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) in the lobbies of the Research and Education Building and Health Sciences Building.

The Student Center Food Court also includes Chic- Fil-A and Firehouse Subs (10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays). Chic-Fil-A provides: Chic-Fil-A sandwiches (fried and grilled), waffle fries and salads. Firehouse provides all the sandwiches and salads provided at its restaurants.

Also, visit Mocha Mahn Coffee Shack in the Greenblatt Library Lobby. Gourmet coffees, snacks, sandwiches, salads and yes a friendly smiling face (lots better than a vending machine!!!). We are bringing the Caribbean to campus, so you can go somewhere to dine and think you are on “holiday”!
