·         Meet with Chair (Section Chief) to be sure you have met promotion criteria
·         Develop and give chair list of people you would like to write letters of recommendation (MCG and outside faculty)

Department P&T committee reviews all departmental candidates and makes recommendations to department chair

Faculty members may officially appeal decisions at the following points (Include Link-MCG section 5.5):

1.       Department chair’s recommendation: Appeal requests must be submitted to the dean within 10 calendar days following notification of chair’s decision.

2.       Dean’s recommendation: Appeal requests must be submitted to the president within 10 calendar days following notification of the dean’s decision.

3.       President’s recommendation: Appeal requests must be submitted to the Board of Regents within 20 days following notification of the president’s decision.
