Sterilization

All applicants must strictly adhere to all C.D.C. guidelines concerning barrier protection and instrument/equipment sterilization.  The Medical College of Georgia sterilization facility is on the third floor Room AD 3010.  Central Sterilization staff will autoclave your bagged and labeled instruments.  Please allow a minimum of ONE HOUR for processing, which means that bagged instruments must be turned in at least one hour before closing time to insure sterile instruments for the next morning.

Materials Provided: (will be set up outside Central Sterilization)

  • Autoclave bags
  • Autoclave tape
  • Marking pens

Every effort will be made to sterilize the instruments according to this schedule

Orientation Week
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 and Thursday, May 29, 2008
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

CRDTS Weekend

  • Friday, May 30 – 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. - Candidate Orientation
  • Saturday, May 31  – 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 1 - 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
