IMMUNIZATION
REQUIREMENTS (see Immunizations):
Certain immunizations are required
for all students entering MCG prior to attending classes. The
requirements for these immunizations have been established not only to
protect our students, but also to protect the patients with whom they may deal. Immunizations required
for registration include Diptheria (proof of primary series), Polio (proof of primary series), Tdap, Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps,
Varicella, and Hepatitis B (after the Hepatitis B series is complete, a HbsAb titer is
required to prove immunity). Yearly
tuberculin skin testing is also required.
Hepatitis A and
Meningococcal vaccines are not mandatory, but highly recommended prior to
clinical rotations. |
