About the Program
In 1982, the Georgia General Assembly established the annual program to enable state employees a convenient means to contribute to participating charitable organizations through payroll deductions. Employees can make unrestricted donations or contribute to a specific organization. Independent and federated charities supported by the campaign provide health, welfare and educational programs to individuals across Georgia.
Last year, University System of Georgia employees donated $1.36 million of the campaign's $2.85 million total. For more details on the 2008 State Charitable Contributions Program, visit the State Personnel Administration.
A Better Tomorrow Begins Today - Give from the Heart
At the close of the 2008 campaign, the final numbers reported are $60,111.30 with 6.3% participation.
This year we are excited about our fund raiser events to support the SCCP Campaign SCCP heart purchase, and live silent auction. Starting October 1, hearts can be purchased for a $1.00 to show your support. The silent auction will be held during the Employee Awareness Fair on October 16, 10:00 - 2:00 PM in the Wellness Center.
As always your support is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions and/or comments please contact Joel Smith, SCCP Coordinator at extension 1-0343.
