Did you know that your contribution provides the following vital health, environmental, educational and human care services in Georgia and overseas?

Monthly Impact

$5 per month provides:

  • A hot meal for two residents at the Salvation Army
  • Five hearing aids for hearing impaired individuals

 

$10 per month provides:

  • School supplies for a child for one year
  • Shelter and breakfast for one homeless person
  • Food for a family of four for two weeks
  • Support counseling and legal advocacy for three domestic abuse victims
  • Parenting skills for one family

$16 per month provides:

  • A blood transfusion
  • Four days of adult day care for a memory-impaired person
  • Pre-school for one month for a developmentally delayed child
  • Preservation of wilderness areas from strip mining and other destructive actions

$20 per month provides:

  • A complete platelet count for two children going through cancer treatment

$24 per month provides:

  • Hot, nutritious meals to a homebound senior citizen for six months

$32 per month provides:

  • Mammograms for three indigent women

$60 per month provides:

  • Access to community health clinics, safe water and better schools for a child in China
  • Books for one student for one year

Weekly Impact

$1 Per Week

  • Provides at least three people with stroke and heart disease education.
  • Provides disaster relief training for 18 volunteers preparing to serve the North Georgia region.

$5 Per Week

  • Provides case management to a single mother that has embarked on a journey to reclaim her life for herself and her three children after leaving an abusive marriage.
  • Provides emergency food for 25 families, ensuring proper nutrition and better health.
  • Provides eight battered women with legal advocacy services

$10 Per Week

  • Provides 10 counseling sessions to a 4 year-old girl who was removed from her home after enduring physical and mental abuse.
  • Provides 38 children with a book each month for one year helping them to gain the literacy skills needed for success in school.

$14 Per Week

  • Provides youth development services for at least four boys or girls, helping them to avoid risky lifestyle behaviors.

$20 Per Week

  • Provides a scholarship to an 11 year-old boy with special needs, so that he may attend a school offering unique educational opportunities.
  • Provides homemaker services for 36 elderly or disabled individuals to help them remain in their own homes and avoid unnecessary placement with a nursing home or institution.

$50 Per Week

  • Provides a furnished apartment to a 62 year-old woman who found herself financially and emotionally drained, and homeless when her husband of over thirty years died after suffering a long illness.

$100 Per Week

  • Provides subsidized childcare for a single mother while she maintains her current employment and attends training to improve her skills to obtain a better job.
