About the Program

In 1982, the Georgia General Assembly established the annual program to enable state employees a convenient means to contribute to participating charitable organizations through payroll deductions. Employees can make unrestricted donations or contribute to a specific organization. Independent and federated charities supported by the campaign provide health, welfare and educational programs to individuals across Georgia.

Last year, University System of Georgia employees donated $1.36 million of the campaign's $2.7 million total. For more details on the 2009 State Charitable Contributions Program, visit the State Personnel Administration.

Help Build a Brighter Tomorrow - Give From the Heart

At the close of the 2009 campaign, the final numbers reported were $64,859.05 (increase of 7.9% over last year) with a 15.84% participation rate.

This year we are excited about our fund raiser events to support the SCCP Campaign. The SCCP heart purchase and live online auction are a couple of fund raisers to look forward to. Starting October 1, hearts can be purchased from Unit Coordinators for $1.00 to show your support. Each year an Awareness/Benefits Fair is held to showcase charities and corporations that support the SCCP. It will be held on October 15, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the Wellness Center.
