Consortium Agreement Offers New Locations On November 16, 2005, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia approved creation of a Doctor of Physical Therapy Consortium led by the Medical College of Georgia. This arrangement allows Armstrong Atlantic State University and North Georgia College and State University to offer all course work leading to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree on their home campuses. As the lead partner, the Medical College of Georgia acts as the degree granting authority. Tuition is based on the MCG graduate student rate, and MCG registers, bills and disburses financial aid to all students enrolled in the Consortium DPT program. Applicants to the Consortium DPT Program should apply directly to the partnering institution they wish to attend. There is a common set of admissions requirements for the Consortium DPT. However, each institutional partner retains its own admissions process may include prerequisites and conditions which may differ slightly from these basic requirements. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to become familiar with the admissions requirements of each institution they are considering as early as possible in their undergraduate preparation. |
