About Physical Therapy
MCG's physical therapy program cultivates such broad-ranged enthusiasm, emphasizing first-rate classroom instruction and laboratory practice with extensive clinical training in sites throughout Georgia and the southeastern United States, according to Dr. Douglas R. Keskula, chair of the department. The program prepares graduates to maximize wellness and minimize disability in environments including hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, schools, research laboratories and corporations. With the recent conversion to a doctoral-level program, "we're growing and we're moving our degree program forward," says Dr. Keskula. "We believe that education at the doctor of physical therapy level will be consistent with the expectations and responsibilities that graduates face in the current and future health care environment."
