MPH Mission and Values

 
 

Our Mission

The mission of the informatics Masters of Public Health Program at the Medical College of Georgia is to prepare leaders who manage, analyze, disseminate, and apply information to enhance wellness and quality of life for individuals and communities. This is accomplished through an academic experience that combines excellence in education, research and service related to public health and health informatics.
 

Our Values

Leadership—As the only public health program in the University System of Georgia with an informatics concentration, the MPH program at the Medical College of Georgia leads the way in preparing public health professionals. The faculty and staff are dedicated to the success of our program; therefore, we value mentorship and the development of leaders.

Social Responsibility—The faculty, staff and students of the MPH program at the Medical College of Georgia value social responsibility. We recognize and embrace our duty of service to humanity.

Compassion—As a community of educators and discoverers, the MPH program values compassion. Empathy, kindness and humanity characterize the interactions of our faculty, staff and students with those we serve.
